SRISTI is an NGO, set up to strengthen the creativity of grassroots innovators. It’s Natural Product Laboratory at SRISTI works on validation and value addition, commercialization and product development of herbal pesticides, growth promoters, herbal drugs, on-farm research, microbial diversity as indicator of ecosystems health and development of antibiotics.

·         Development of antimicrobial herbal formulations from plant essential oils

·         Study of soil micro flora and its effect on Bt cotton

·         Isolation of antibiotic producing Actinomycetes

·         Validation, value addition and documentation of the traditional practices

·         Development of Medicinal Plant Database: NISSAT in four different local languages

·         Interaction with the traditional knowledge holders and dissemination of scientific

knowledge within the society
